Job Description:
Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Registration Assistant for a Local Authority Client in North London.
In this role, you will support residents by maintaining the housing register, assessing applications, and providing clear advice on housing options.
Duties:
*Review and update housing applications on the Council’s register.
*Advise and assist residents on housing options and allocations.
*Communicate decisions and follow up with applicants and partner agencies.
*Maintain records and extract data from Council IT systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
*Experience assisting residents with housing applications and explaining allocation policies.
*Experience working in a multi-cultural, urban environment with diverse housing needs.
*Experience managing sensitive customer enquiries, including housing reviews and appeals.
*Experience using council or housing IT systems to maintain records, generate reports, and track application progress.
What’s on offer:
Salary: £29ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
