Year 2 Teacher – Temp to Perm (ASAP Start)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Temp-to-Perm after 12 weeks or until end of academic year 2026 if not wanting permanent position
Pay:Paid to Teacher Scale (MPS depending on experience)
Location: Large Primary School – DN4 (Part of a Multi-Academy Trust)
Reed Education are working with a well-established and supportive primary school in the DN4 area who are seeking a committed and experienced Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time role with full class teaching responsibilities, with the strong potential to become a permanent member of staff after a successful 12-week period.
About the Role
*Full-time Year 2 Class Teacher position
*Full classroom responsibilities including planning, teaching, marking and assessment
*Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons aligned with KS1 curriculum expectations
*Working closely with the KS1 team and wider academy trust
*Supporting and monitoring progress across the full Year 2 cohort
*Opportunity to become a permanent staff member after 12 weeks
About You
We’re looking for a teacher who:
*Has solid KS1 teaching experience, ideally within Year 2
*Can plan, deliver, and assess to a high standard
*Is confident managing a full class and maintaining strong behaviour routines
*Understands the demands of SATs preparation at KS1
*Is passionate, adaptable, and committed to pupil progress
*Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
