Salary: £37,000-£38,000 (PAYE or Umbrella PAYE)

Are you a reliable Maintenance Operative / Electrical Mate with basic electrical skills or experience as an Electrical Mate?
Hays is recruiting for a motivated individual to join an on-site maintenance team in Watford, working closely alongside a qualified electrician.
The Role
In this position, you will support day-to-day building maintenance duties, including assisting with electrical works under supervision. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the site, delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist the electrician with routine electrical maintenance and minor repairs
*Perform general building maintenance tasks as required
*Carry out basic electrical duties where competent
*Support planned and reactive maintenance activities
*Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures
What We’re Looking For
*Maintenance Operative with basic electrical knowledge, or
*Electrical Mate with site experience
*Strong practical skills and a proactive attitude
*Ability to work as part of a team
*Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently when required
Pay & Employment
*£37,000-£38,000 max / Up to £18.27 Paye / £22.85 per hour umbrella
*Available as PAYE or Umbrella PAYE
*Long-term opportunity for the right candidate
