Driver’s Mate – Kitchen Deliveries

Location: Various locations across the region

Hours: Monday to Friday (start times usually between 05:00 – 05:30)

Duration: Ongoing, full-time work

Pay: TBC (dependent on client/site)

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting reliable and hardworking Driver’s Mates to join a busy delivery team. You will support the driver in delivering kitchen units and appliances directly to customers’ homes, including flats and properties with stairs. This is a physically demanding role and requires someone who is comfortable with manual handling throughout the working day.

Key Responsibilities
*Assisting the driver with the safe loading and unloading of kitchens and associated items
*Delivering goods into the customer’s room of choice (including upstairs where required)
*Providing excellent customer service at every delivery location
*Working safely and following manual handling guidelines
*Using delivery notes and recording paperwork as needed
*Ensuring vehicles are kept tidy and goods handled carefully
*Working as part of a 2-person team to plan each delivery appropriately
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to be:
*Physically fit and comfortable lifting heavy items
*Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
*Confident interacting with customers in their homes
*A good team player with a helpful attitude
*Able to work long shifts (typically between 8–12 hours per day)

Additional Info

*Some deliveries will involve climbing stairs and moving through narrow spaces
*Manual handling training is beneficial — but full guidance will be provided
