Apthorp Care Centre is a specialist care home in Barnet, North London supporting adults with complex nursing needs, dementia and mental health conditions. The home offers 119 purpose designed bedrooms across three floors and provides complex nursing care, specialist dementia support and residential mental health care within a safe, structured and supportive environment focused on dignity, stability and wellbeing.
Care Assistant
*£12.71 per hour
*Full time and part time contracts available
*Day and night shifts available
*Pension, Paid DBS, Uniform provided
*5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract
The Role
As a Care Assistant, you will support residents with daily activities including personal care, mobility and mealtimes while promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing.
You will follow individual care plans, monitor residents’ wellbeing and work closely with the wider care and nursing team to ensure residents receive safe and compassionate care.
You will also build positive relationships with residents and their families, helping to create a supportive and inclusive environment within the home.
Your role will help ensure residents feel safe, comfortable and valued while receiving person centred care.
What We Are Looking For
*SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is preferred but not essential
*Previous care experience is welcome but full training will be provided
*A compassionate and respectful approach
*Strong teamwork and communication skills
*A genuine interest in supporting older people
