A well-established aerospace manufacturer in the Tewkesbury area is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer with strong expertise in 5-axis milling, mill-turn machining, and programming in Siemens NX. This is a key technical role supporting advanced machining operations.


The Role
You will lead the development, optimisation, and support of complex milling and mill-turn processes, ensuring exceptional precision and efficiency for aerospace components.


Key Responsibilities
*Developing and optimising CNC programs using Siemens NX
*Supporting and improving machining processes on Mazak and Okuma 5-axis and mill-turn machines
*Driving continuous improvement across tooling, cycle times, and machining strategies
*Troubleshooting complex machining issues and supporting operators on the shop floor
*Collaborating with design, production, and quality teams to ensure robust manufacturability
*Leading process development for new product introduction


About You
*Strong background in 5-axis milling and mill-turn machining
*Experience with Mazak and Okuma machine tools
*Skilled in Siemens NX programming
*Aerospace or similarly regulated precision-engineering experience preferred
*Confident working in a senior or lead engineering capacity
*Analytical, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement
