Finance Assistant | Luxury Interiors Business | Central London / Hybrid

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with a growing design-led interiors business on a Finance Assistant hire to join their lively team in Central London. The company works across high-end residential projects in London alongside leading developers, architects, and contractors.

The finance function operates within a buzzy, creative office environment, working closely with operational teams to support project delivery. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone early in their finance career to gain exposure to a broad range of accounting processes while developing their skills within a growing organisation.


The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director and working closely with the Management Accountant, the Finance Assistant will be hands on in a range of core finance activities including accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end processes to ensure the day-to-day operations of the business run smoothly.


This position would suit someone with 1-2 years of experience in a finance role who is keen to develop their technical accounting knowledge in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities
*Supporting the month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal postings, and assisting the Management Accountant.
*Managing a high volume of company credit card transactions and performing regular bank and credit card reconciliations, investigating any discrepancies.
*Processing, posting, and coding supplier invoices accurately within the accounting system.
*Managing pro forma invoices and ensuring VAT invoices are received following payment.
*Supporting accounts payable processes, including preparing payment runs for review and approval.
*Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns by maintaining accurate documentation.
*Processing and tracking intercompany transactions where required.
*Providing ad-hoc support across the finance team as needed.


What we need to see:
*1-2 years’ experience as a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable, or equivalent.
*Basic understanding of core accounting principles (debits, credits, invoice posting).
*Experience processing supplier invoices and reconciliations.
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Ability to manage high transaction volumes efficiently.
*Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
*Proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider finance team.


What we’d like to see:
*Experience using Xero.
*Exposure to project-based businesses or property environments.
*Experience supporting VAT returns or month-end processes.


Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Location: CentralLondon / Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days WFH)
