Accounts Assistant
*Location: Bolton
*Job Type: 9-month maternity cover contract
*Salary: £28K to £30K (pro rata for 4-day week)
*Working Hours: 9am to 5pm
Day-to-day of the role:
*Process and verify supplier invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and schedule timely payments.
*Act as the point of contact for suppliers to resolve any invoice or payment disputes.
*Generate and send accurate invoices
*Perform weekly reconciliation of bank statements to ensure accurate financial records.
*Investigate and resolve any unreconciled items and communicate internally to resolve queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in an accounts assistant role or similar.
*Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting.
*Must have experience with Sage software.
*Experience in bank reconciliation.
*Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
