1:1 Learning Support Assistant – KS1 & KS2
Location: NG9 area
Contract Type: Full-Time
Job Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) within a supportive primary school environment. This role involves providing dedicated support to help pupils access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, nurturing, and passionate about supporting children with additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide 1:1 support for pupils across KS1 and KS2.
*Support pupils with learning activities and classroom engagement.
*Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
*Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
*Support pupils with social and emotional development.
*Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement support strategies.
*Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Requirements:
*Previous experience working with primary-aged children is desirable.
*Experience supporting pupils with SEN needs such as autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties is beneficial.
*Patient, caring, and supportive approach.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3) is beneficial but not essential with relevant experience.
