Job Description:
Embark on an exciting journey as a Costs Negotiator (FRC) at a Legal 500 Law Firm, a leading firm committed to providing exceptional legal services. In this permanent role, you’ll have the opportunity to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where your expertise in costs negotiation will be instrumental in driving the success of our established costs department.
- Competitive salary range of £30,000 to £40,000, depending on your experience- Opportunity to work with a team of 40+ professionals in a supportive and inclusive culture- Excellent career development prospects, including the potential to pursue training contracts or support through the ACL qualification
Preferred Requirements:
*Proficient in costs negotiation, with a strong understanding of fixed costs claims and the costs process
*Knowledgeable in CPR Cost related procedures, Pre-Action Protocols, and case law for fixed costs disputes
*Ability to handle a caseload, manage WIP, and meet fee targets
*Skilled in drafting letters, Costs Schedules, Part 23 Applications, Part 8 Proceedings, and written submissions
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with fee earners and management
Preferred Qualifications:*2 to 5 years of experience in case handling and working to target
*Desirable: Advocacy skills at costs hearings on fixed costs matters
*Strong commercial awareness and a professional attitude
