NC Associates are working in partnership with a well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice based on the Wirral, looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant due to continued growth. Semi Senior AccountantDuties and Responsibilities
*Prepare statutory accounts for a range of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
*Produce VAT returns and complete bookkeeping assignments
*Assist in the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns (self-assessments and CT600s)
*Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients
*Preparation and submission of self-assessment returns and support of MTD ITSA implementation
*Assist with onboarding of new clients and company incorporations
*Support with client queries and provide basic business advice
*Review junior team members’ work and provide support or training where required
*Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations
Essential Experience Required
*2–3 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice
*AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/ACA
*Strong working knowledge of cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and Taxcalc
*Preparation and submission of self-assessment returns and support of MTD ITSA implementation
*Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
*Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
