Finance Assistant – Leicester (On-site)
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 + benefits
Type: Permanent | Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Location: Leicester, LE9
Working style: Fully on-site (no hybrid)
Cherry Professional is recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a well-established, multi-entity business (c.13 entities) with a friendly finance team of 4. This is a solid, hands-on AP/AR/reconciliations role, ideal for an Accounts Assistant or practice bookkeeper who enjoys a steady, transactional position.
The role
You’ll be supporting the finance function across several parts of the group, including:
*Sales Ledger for 3 trade businesses (including high-volume ledgers)
*Purchase Ledger & Sales Ledger for a commercial rentals portfolio (office parks and business parks)
*Bank / balance sheet reconciliations
*General bookkeeping support across the group
What we’re looking for
*Experience in a similar Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper role
*Exposure to accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero or Sage
*Confident Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
*Someone who’s happy in a role with a strong transactional focus (limited progression, but there may be opportunities to develop over time)
