Job Description:
We are currently working with an exciting Private Debt fund who are looking for either a VP or a Senior Associate to join their Asset Management team that focus on Portfolio Monitoring. The business has offices in London and New York and is expected to grow to more than 50 people over the course of this year.
The business has completed around 60 deals, mostly across the UK and Europe across a variety of strategies & circa €3Billion deployed. The role will offer exceptional exposure to senior leaders and will report into an experienced Managing Director. The role offers an opportunity to play a key role in the ongoing oversight, valuation, and performance management of the firm’s private credit portfolio.
The role spans portfolio monitoring, valuation, restructuring support, analytics, and investor reporting, with regular exposure to Investment Committee and Valuation Committee processes. The successful candidate will be expected to operate with a high degree of ownership across assigned assets and workstreams, while collaborating closely with the investment team, finance, operations, and investor relations
The business tends to be in the office (just off Regent Street) 5 days a week but there is flexibility to WFH 1 day a week as needed
You will be
*Someone currently at the Senior associate/VP level who has either grown up in a big four workout group or restructuring consultancy, Investment banking/advisory/transaction services backgrounds will also be considered.
*Either a qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or qualified CFA charter holder.
*A pre-requisite is strong financial modelling discipline, Advanced Excel financial modelling skills (3-statement models, cash flow forecasting, valuation, restructuring scenarios)
*The ability to work with autonomy, the ability to articulate the key messages to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
*A high degree of integrity, be able to work within a high performing team
*Strong understanding of capital structures, leverage metrics, and covenant frameworks
*Excellent PowerPoint skills with the ability to present complex analysis clearly to senior stakeholders
*Familiarity with legal documentation and how to interpret key financing agreements
