Job Description:
Robert Half has partnered with a professional services business to recruit for a Credit Controller.
Our client is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to take ownership of a varied debtor portfolio and play a key role in improving cashflow performance. This position sits within a collaborative finance function and offers the chance to build relationships across the business while driving consistent credit control standards.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage your own portfolio of debt, including regular discussions and review meetings with internal stakeholders.
*Resolve queries efficiently, escalating issues when required.
*Apply credit control and debt provisioning policies consistently across all accounts.
*Maintain an accurate debtor ledger, ensuring minimal adjustments and prompt management of unallocated cash.
*Proactively pursue overdue balances and keep senior managers updated on progress.
*Log all client interactions and updates clearly within internal systems
*Produce routine reports on aged debt and portfolio performance.
*Flag accounts requiring escalation, including those that may need to follow a legal recovery route.
Skills & Experience Required
*Experience within a professional services or similar stakeholder-focused environment.
*Solid Excel capability.
*Confident communicator, able to engage with senior stakeholders and explain financial information clearly.
*Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and handle sensitive conversations professionally.
*Proactive approach to problem-solving and service delivery.
*Comfortable managing personal workload while working closely with the wider team.
