Payroll Manager

Circa £60,000 + bonus
5 days per week in the office
Cedar have partnered with a growing, multi-disciplinary organisation that delivers a wide range of services across finance, operations, and professional support. They are seeking a motivated Payroll Manager to join their finance team in a busy, office-based role in Deptford. This is a hands-on position with responsibility for payroll and key finance administration activities. The role is office-based 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
*Process weekly and monthly payroll and expenses, including home allowances
*Update timesheets and People HR records for sick leave and annual leave
*Manage new starter onboarding across payroll, pension, benefits, and relevant systems
*Post monthly apprentice journals and timesheets, verify hours and leave
*Prepare monthly PAYE, CIS payments, EPS submissions, pension payments, and year-end P11Ds
*Process employee tax documentation (P45s, P60s) and vehicle reporting
*Data entry and invoice processing using NetSuite, including matching payments and credit card reconciliations
*Ensure all Direct Debit invoices are received and processed on time
*Assist with internal revenue journals and ad-hoc financial tasks as required
*Support the Finance Director/Financial Controller with other finance-related activities
Requirements:
*Previous experience managing payroll and related finance administration
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Proficiency in NetSuite or similar accounting systems
*Ability to work in a structured, office-based environment 5 days a week
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
