Your new company

You will be joining an organisation where the Commercial function plays a key role in enabling strategic objectives. The team oversees procurement, commercial governance, risk management and the development of commercial opportunities, ensuring all spend complies with statutory, regulatory and government requirements while supporting stakeholders across the business.
Your new role

As a Commercial Officer, you will manage end-to-end procurement and contract activity, helping stakeholders define requirements, run compliant tender processes and secure value for money. You will manage supplier relationships, monitor performance and ensure contracts deliver expected outcomes. You’ll also support improvements to commercial policies and processes, maintain the procurement pipeline and contracts register, and ensure sustainability, net zero, health and safety and social value considerations are embedded in procurement. You may also act on behalf of senior commercial colleagues when needed.
What you’ll need to succeed

You will have a relevant degree (minimum 2:2) and be studying or keen to study toward MCIPS. You’ll bring an understanding of procurement legislation, commercial terms and public-sector purchasing requirements, along with strong organisational, analytical and communication skills. The role requires confidence managing suppliers, resolving issues, analysing procurement information and delivering value-for-money outcomes. Attention to detail, problem-solving ability and financial awareness are also essential.
