Nursery Manager (Maternity Cover) – Brighton, East Sussex BN1
Salary: Circa £40,000 per year (depending on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days | Shifts between 8:00am–6:00pm
Contract: 12 Month Maternity Cover (potential to become permanent) Not suitable for school-hours applicants
We are seeking a passionate Nursery Manager to join our friendly team in Brighton (BN1) on a maternity cover basis. This role would be ideal for an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step into a management position and gain valuable leadership experience.
You will be supported by two very hands-on owners and a fantastic Deputy Manager while helping oversee the smooth day-to-day running of our ’Outstanding’ nursery, both within the rooms and the office.

Responsibilities
*Oversee children’s learning and development across the nursery
*Lead and inspire the team, ensuring staff feel supported and valued
*Support the day-to-day operational management of the setting
*Maintain high standards of care, education, and safeguarding
About You
*Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)
*Previous Nursery Manager experience preferred (or strong Deputy Manager experience)
*Strong knowledge of EYFS and Ofsted requirements
*Excellent organisational and communication skills
*Confident leading and supporting a team
*Eligible to work in the UK
