Job Description:
A great opportunity has arisen for a line loader / warehouse op to join a leading manufacturer.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver required materials, components, and consumables to production lines in a timely and organised manner.
*Ensure production areas are fully stocked according to job requirements and schedules.
*Prepare material kits and ensure accuracy against job sheets, BOMs, and production plans.
*Maintain accurate stock levels using the company’s ERP or inventory system.
*Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts, and report discrepancies promptly.
*Ensure all stock movements (issues, returns, adjustments) are logged accurately.
*Monitor minimum stock quantities and flag low levels to Stores or Procurement teams.
*Assist with unloading, booking in, and storing inbound goods as required.
*Ensure materials are stored safely, logically, and in accordance with handling requirements.
*Maintain a clean, organised, and well-structured stores and line-side environment.
*Ensure all materials are labelled correctly and traceability standards are adhered to.
*Follow company procedures relating to stock control, quality checks, and material handling.
*Assist with root-cause investigations related to stock errors or material shortages.
*Work closely with Production Supervisors to understand daily requirements and priorities.
*Respond quickly to material shortages or urgent production needs.
*Support continuous improvement initiatives across stores and production areas.
Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:
*Forklift truck licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach).
*Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or warehousing environment.
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Experience using inventory/ERP systems for stock control.
*Ability to interpret job cards, BOMs, and production schedules.
*Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
*Physically able to move materials and handle manual tasks safely.
*Experience working in an electrical, mechanical, or heavy engineering environment.
*Knowledge of lean principles such as 5S, Kanban, or Just-In-Time material flow.
