Elevation Recruitment are working with a leading UK engineering manufacturer to recruit a skilled Hydraulic, Electrical & Mechanical Fitter to join their growing team. You’ll be responsible for assembling, installing, and testing hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems across a range of industrial machinery.
Shift: Monday to Friday (35 hour working week)
Salary: £32,000 (£17.57 per hour)
Location: Barnsley
What you’ll be doing*Assemble, install and test hydraulic, electrical and mechanical components
*Wire hydraulic power packs and connect motors, pumps and valves
*Install electrical components including relays, sensors, switches and control panels
*Work with PLC systems and hydraulic schematics
*Pressure test hydraulic cylinders and troubleshoot faults
*Maintain accurate build and repair records to comply with safety standards
*Collaborate with engineers to improve efficiency and reliability
What we’re looking for*Experience in hydraulic, electrical or mechanical fitting
*Ability to read technical drawings and schematics (preferred)
*Excellent attention to detail and precision workmanship
*Strong problem-solving skills and proactive attitude
*Team player with good communication
*Competent with hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments
*Commitment to health and safety
