THE ROLE


As Payroll Business Partner, you will oversee payroll processes and lead a team to ensure accurate, timely salary payments. This temp-to-perm position offers the chance to contribute to key payroll improvements, system updates, and staff training. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to uphold payroll accuracy and statutory compliance, including HMRC reporting and system management.
*Manage payroll staff, providing support and training to uphold standards
*Review and validate payroll calculations, ensuring accuracy for all statutory payments
*Prepare and review mid-month and month-end payroll reports for management and stakeholders
*Oversee payroll system updates, testing, and compliance with changing legislation
*Coordinate payments, including salary transfers, HMRC, and pension liabilities, ensuring deadlines are met


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
*Demonstrates payroll experience within complex organisations, with knowledge of UK payroll legislation and reporting standards
*Skilled in payroll systems, Excel, and finance reporting tools such as Power BI or similar analytic platforms
*Capable of producing reconciliations, managing statutory returns, and resolving payroll anomalies
