Job Description:
Chalk Hill Group are working with a PE-backed Services business, based in Basingstoke, who are seeking to recruit a Management Accountant to join its finance team on a permanent basis.
This role will take ownership of key elements of the month-end process and financial reporting. It is a hands-on position offering the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and enhance the clarity and quality of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:*Take ownership of important sections of the month-end close, including prepayments, accruals and operating cost analysis.
*Prepare and post journals, produce monthly cost reports and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
*Manage transactional accounting.
*Support preparation of basic financial statements.
*Partner with stakeholders across the business.
*Prepare quarterly VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
*Produce group bank reconciliations and contribute to regular cash reporting.
Key Skills and Experience:*AAT part or fully qualified
*Experience in month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting
*Experience managing transactional accounting processes
*Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and working with large datasets.
*Sage system experience (desirable)
