School Caretaker
Location: Sheffield
Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to work on a supply basis across a Trust of schools in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and dependable individual who enjoys maintaining safe, clean, and well-functioning school environments.
The Role
As a School Caretaker, you will play an important role in ensuring the day-to-day upkeep and safety of school premises. Working across schools within the Trust, you will support site teams with essential maintenance and compliance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
*Carrying out basic maintenance and minor repairs around the school site

*Undertaking routine health and safety checks in line with school policies

*Supporting with the general upkeep and cleanliness of buildings and grounds

*Assisting with site security, including opening and locking premises where required

*Reporting any issues or hazards to the appropriate staff members

The Ideal Candidate
*Has previous caretaking, site assistant, or maintenance experience (school experience desirable but not essential)

*Is reliable, practical, and proactive with a good eye for detail

*Understands the importance of health and safety procedures

*Can work flexibly across multiple school sites within the Trust

*Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one
