KCR Solutions are working with this family owned accountancy practice based in North Shields in their search for a Senior Accountant. Our client will consider candidates seeking full or part-time hours.
As an individual you will have previous practice experience, enjoy client interaction, mentoring junior staff and working with a varied portfolio of businesses. This is an excellent opportunity to develop and add to existing skills.
The Role:
*Working with other members of the team and with clients, to build strong relationships.
*Preparing and finalising financial statements for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships as well as Corporation Tax Returns and FCA compliance forms etc.
*Reviewing accounts and VAT Returns completed by junior members of the team to ensure accuracy and compliance.
*Ensuring professional standards are maintained across the team and that excellent client service is delivered.
Qualifications/experience:
*Proven practice experience and a practical understanding of the role.
*Preferable ACCA/ACA qualified but will consider minimum AAT fully qualified with practice experience.
*Proficient in accounting software (Taxcalc, FreeAgent, Xero, Quickbooks, Sage)
*Excellent organisational skills with ability to work independently or as part of a team.
*Manage deadlines efficiently.
*Effective communication skills and a pro-active approach with clients.
