Think Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be supporting a long-standing client based in Croxley Green. This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial SME at an exciting stage of its growth journey.
The business has ambitious growth plans over the next five years, the leadership team is now looking for a commercially minded Finance Manager who wants to become the financial heartbeat of the organisation.
Currently supported by external accountants, the company is now ready to bring finance in-house, someone who can truly understand the numbers, interpret them, and help the business make smarter decisions every day.
This role goes far beyond traditional accounting. You will be the person who builds the financial infrastructure, brings clarity to performance, and ensures the entire business understands what the numbers are saying.

The Opportunity
Working closely with the Managing Director and leadership team, you will take ownership of the finance function and become a key commercial partner across the business.
You will build and maintain the full financial picture, helping teams understand performance across sales, marketing and operations.
This is a role for someone who enjoys getting involved in the detail of a growing business, not just producing reports.
Key Responsibilities
*Build and manage the full company P&L and financial reporting framework
*Produce monthly management accounts and performance reporting
*Create financial dashboards and marketing performance dashboards so the leadership team has real-time visibility of the business
*Provide sales performance analysis across channels and territories
*Deliver clear financial insight whenever the business needs it
*Work closely with sales, marketing and operations to interpret and challenge performance
*Coordinate forecasting and help align sales growth with procurement and supply planning
*Manage reconciliations across payment platforms and banking
*Oversee payroll, VAT, HMRC and statutory requirements
*Liaise with external accountants for year-end reporting
*Help the leadership team understand where the business is making money and where it should focus next
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines technical capability with operational awareness and commercial curiosity.
You will likely bring:
*Experience working within an SME or entrepreneurial environment
*Strong capability in building P&L reporting and management accounts
*Experience creating financial and commercial dashboards
*Ability to translate numbers into clear business insight
*Confidence reporting to senior leadership and responding quickly to ad-hoc analysis requests
*A hands-on mindset willing to get involved in the operational detail of the business
*High attention to detail and ownership of the numbers
*Strong collaboration with non-finance teams
This isn’t a back-office accounting role.
You will be:

*A trusted advisor to the Managing Director
