Job Description:
Quantity Surveyor
*Location: Manchester
*Job Type: Full-time
*Day rate: £300-£400 per day depending on experience
*Length of role: Initial 3 months
Join our Core Investment Team overseeing the investment of over £600m into businesses and property developments. As a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for monitoring property developments with a direct investment oversight of approximately £400m.
Responsibilities:
*Take overall responsibility for monitoring property developments, including skills capital projects valued around £400m.
*Conduct site visits for large and complex property schemes to assess progress and provide necessary challenges.
*Review reports from external Monitoring Surveyors to identify and address key risks/issues.
*Prepare drawdown reports that summarise the development status, highlighting significant risks and mitigating factors.
*Liaise with Local Authorities to understand their development pipelines and advise Transaction Managers
*Manage and oversee the work of a Junior Quantity Surveyor, ensuring high standards and professional growth
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Must be a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with full RICS membership (MRICS) or equivalent.
*Minimum of 3-5 years post-qualification experience, preferably in Residential, Commercial, or Education projects.
*Strong understanding of JCT/NEC contract suites.
*Proven ability to lead client-facing meetings and manage multi-disciplined teams effectively.
*Excellent ability to handle multiple projects and manage own workload to meet deadlines.
*Strong interpersonal skills with confidence in both verbal and written communication.
*Must be skilled in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
