Job Description:
We are currently working with an organisation based in Derby that is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their growing finance team.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, with responsibilities across purchase ledger, credit control, and assisting with month-end processes.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both credit control and purchase ledger; however, candidates with strong experience in either area will also be considered. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including lookups and pivot tables, would be advantageous but is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing the company’s credit control function
*Monitoring customer accounts and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices
*Raising credit notes and allocating incoming payments
*Arranging and monitoring payment plans where required
*Handling queries from both internal stakeholders and external customers
*Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
*Reconciling bank accounts, including foreign currency accounts
*Posting and reconciling company credit card transactions
*Supporting the Finance Manager with month-end processes
