Job Title: Industrial Cleaner
Reports To: Head of Technical/Norwich Operations Manager
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00am – 16:30pm.
Salary: £12.68 per hour.


Job Purpose
This is a standalone role working within the Norwich Production facility.The purpose of the role is to keep the high and low levels of the factory and machinery clean in an efficient and safe manner and ensure that cleaning standards are always met.
Whilst the Head of Technical has the overall responsibility for this role, the day-to-day reporting will be to the Norwich Operations Manager.


Main duties and responsibilities


*Carry out all cleaning tasks in accordance with the cleaning schedule including machinery, factory and the surrounding tent ensuring that cleaning is delivered to the expected and agreed standards. This will include working in a hot and humid environment, at height accessed via ladders, scissor lifts or MEWP and/or within confined spaces.


*Role will include wiping, scrubbing, hoovering, washing, mopping, use of the ride on floor cleaner and well as other general cleaning duties.


*Responsible for mixing chemicals for cleaning duties. Wear protective clothing as necessary for tasks to be completed.


*Good level of communication with the factory team and management. Report all equipment faults and any incidence of infestation to Line Manager/Technical Manager.


*Take ownership of health & safety for yourself and others at work. Ensure all health and safety procedures are always followed and encourage safe working practices.


*Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and appearance.


*Ensure the effective use of equipment and materials.


*Ensure that machinery, equipment and cleaning cupboard is kept in a clean and tidy state and report any shortages of equipment needed to Line Manager/Technical Manager.


*Offering holiday/sickness cover for the Site Cleaner which includes cleaning communal areas such as canteen, toilets, showers, changing room and offices.


*Observe and comply with site rules and regulations at all times.
