Job Description:
Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience
Location: Stevenage (relocation support may be available)
Working pattern: Hybrid, typically 1-2 days a week on site
Security: Due to the nature of the business, all applicants must be a British Citizen or dual UK national to be eligible for this role. All hires will be required to pass baseline security checks.
About the role This is a great opportunity to join a UK-wide procurement function responsible for managing spend across Construction, Facilities Management, Logistics, Warehousing and Professional Services. The team works across multiple sites and supports a growing organisation that is investing heavily in infrastructure, capability and future facilities.
You’ll be involved in a wide portfolio of projects - from new builds and refurbishment programmes to service contracts and specialist consultancy support. The role offers genuine variety, strong stakeholder engagement and the chance to make a real impact on procurement strategy across the UK network.

What you’ll be doing *Supporting and shaping procurement activity for FM and construction categories
*Advising stakeholders on sourcing strategy and procurement best practice
*Running competitive tender processes using e-procurement tools
*Building tender and RFP packages using internal templates
*Working with stakeholders and consultants to plan tender timelines
*Driving sourcing initiatives and identifying cost-saving opportunities
*Presenting Procurement Gate Reviews and ensuring compliance with internal processes
*Leading supplier negotiations to secure value, quality and reliable delivery
*Reviewing and negotiating contract terms
*Building strong relationships with internal teams including FM, Security, SHE and International Facilities
*Working closely with external suppliers and partners to meet operational needs
*Contributing to continuous improvement across procurement processes
What we’re looking for *Background in FM, construction or services procurement
*Experience negotiating commercial terms and managing supplier relationships
*Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups
*Confident presenter with good written and verbal communication
*Proactive, organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team
*Practical understanding of contract structures and pricing (desirable)
*Knowledge of international freight forwarding or logistics is a bonus
