Client Manager, Accountancy
Alton, Hampshire
Up to £55,000
Butler Rose public practice are excited to be supporting a local, medium tiered accountancy practice while they look to hire an experienced Client Manager. Centrally based in the market town of Alton, Hampshire, this local accountancy practice are well known for working with local businesses, and providing a person centred, face to face service.
They are now seeking an experienced Client Manager to look after a portfolio of local, SME clients. The ideal candidate will currently be working in a similar sized practice, and will be capable of running their own client portfolio, completing all bookkeeping, VAT returns, statutory accounts, and self-assessments. They should have excellent communication skills and be comfortable dealing with their clients face to face and via the telephone to conduct on-boarding and client review meetings.
Responsibilities:
* Independently manager a portfolio of SME clients, undertaking all on-boarding and client review meetings.
* Responsible for all bookkeeping, VAT returns, statutory accounts, and end of year self-assessments.
* Liaise with the clients face to face or via the telephone.
* Provide accounting advice when required.
Person Requirements:
* Ideally, fully qualified ACA/ACCA but nearly qualified or qualified by experience will be considered.
* A minimum of 4 years’ experience working within a UK based accountancy practice.
* Excellent communication skills and the confidence to interact with clients over the telephone and face to face.
* Experience managing a portfolio of 30+ clients which should include LTD’s, sole traders, and partnerships.
