SECURITY CONSULTANT – CYBER SECURITY – CONTRACT
Rate: £280 to £320/day – Inside IR35
Duration: 3–6 months
Location: Hybrid – 2 days/week in office (Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Halifax or Edinburgh)

The Role
A leading financial services organisation is seeking experienced Cyber Security Consultants to join an expanding Security Consultancy and Design team, embedded within a major Agile transformation programme. There is a strong emphasis on authoring security designs and threat modelling – candidates must demonstrate security architect capability and communicate confidently at peer and senior level.
Key Responsibilities
*Author security designs and embed security-by-design across the change portfolio
*Conduct threat modelling – deconstruct technical solutions, identify threats and assess risk
*Analyse risks and benefits of design options to support safe architectural decisions
*Design and document secure solutions aligned to security standards
*Define security testing requirements and assess findings
*Provide security direction, governance and assurance across the programme
Essential Skills
*Strong security design and threat modelling – STRIDE, MITRE ATT&CK or equivalent
*Broad cyber security domain knowledge – endpoint, network, cryptography, IAM
*Cloud and modern architecture experience – RESTful APIs, microservices
*Proven security architect capability
*Strong stakeholder communication – peer and senior level
Nice to Have
*CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH or OSCP certification
*ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP or PCI DSS knowledge
*Public or private cloud security experience
