APPLICATION ARCHITECT – APP MODERNISATION – CONTRACT
Rate: £300 to £350 /day – Inside IR35
Duration: 6 months
Location: Hybrid – remote with day travel to client site
Start: ASAP – short notice preferred
Residency: Minimum 5 years UK residency – MANDATORY
Clearance: BPSS – arranged by client
The Role
An experienced Application Architect is needed to lead application modernisation and AWS migration work within a complex multi-supplier UK Government programme, defining architectural direction and ensuring robust, well-documented decisions underpin delivery.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead application architecture across an AWS migration and modernisation programme
*Create reference architectures and conduct architecture impact analyses
*Produce architectural artefacts to support and document key decisions
*Align teams and stakeholders across a multi-supplier environment
*Maintain architectural standards and best practices throughout delivery
Essential Skills
*Proven hands-on AWS migration experience
*Strong application architecture background
*Multi-supplier delivery environment experience
*Ability to produce reference architectures, impact analyses and decision artefacts
*5 years UK residency (mandatory – Government client)
