Job Description:
Airport Terminal Development Project Manager
*Location: Doncaster Sheffield Airport
*Job Type: Full-time, interim
*Salary: Negotiable
We are seeking a Terminal Development Project Manager to oversee a major terminal development programme at Doncaster Sheffield Airport. This role is crucial for ensuring security compliance and enhancing retail development, aiming to provide safe, compliant, and commercially effective passenger facilities.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Lead the delivery of terminal projects focusing on aviation security infrastructure, passenger processing areas, and retail layout changes.
*Manage the project lifecycle from concept development through to design, construction, commissioning, and final handover.
*Ensure compliance with aviation security regulations, statutory requirements, and airport security programmes.
*Coordinate project partners including contractors, designers, specialist suppliers, and retail partners.
*Act as the client representative, managing budgets, schedules, risks, and change control.
*Provide structured reporting to senior stakeholders and support audits, regulatory approvals, and security-related assurance activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in delivering terminal, building, or passenger-facing infrastructure projects within airports or other regulated environments.
*Strong understanding of airport terminal operations and safety-critical or compliance-led projects.
*Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging with operations, security, commercial teams, contractors, and regulators.
*Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
*Qualified project manager, preferably through APM or RICS.
