The Opportunity:
Nigel Wright Group are supporting a well-established UK healthcare organisation at a pivotal point in its commercial evolution. With strong service foundations, a trusted clinical proposition and a substantial national member base, the organisation is now focused on accelerating growth by diversifying its routes to market and expanding its presence across new and emerging distribution channels.

To support this ambition, they are seeking a Channel Development Manager - a strategic, commercially minded professional who can identify new channel opportunities, originate and negotiate meaningful partnerships, and build scalable routes that deliver long term, sustainable member growth.

This is a high impact role with significant ownership. You’ll work autonomously, represent the organisation with credibility at senior levels, and play a central role in shaping how its proposition reaches new audiences through innovative commercial partnerships.

Role Profile:
*Develop and deliver a clear channel development and partnership strategy aligned to near term opportunity areas and long term sustainable member growth.
*Identify, evaluate and prioritise new channel opportunities using market research, insight and competitor analysis to understand gaps in existing routes to market and where the strongest potential member volumes lie.
*Build, originate and progress strategic partnership opportunities, from sourcing, first contact and early stage discussions through to negotiation, due diligence and final contract execution.
*Set, monitor and report on key success measures such as new member acquisition via new channels, partnership progression, and pipeline development.
*Lead internal coordination across key stakeholders (marketing, legal, compliance, operations) to take partnerships from concept to signed agreement and ensure regulatory and contractual requirements are met.
*Represent the organisation externally with credibility, engaging senior stakeholders across banks, building societies, financial mutuals, consumer platforms and other potential channel partners.
*Ensure all commercial activities adhere to relevant regulatory requirements and internal governance processes.

Person Specification:
*Proven experience in strategic partnerships, channel development or business development with a strong emphasis on originating new routes to market rather than solely account management.
*Demonstrable success opening new partnerships or channels that have delivered significant, repeatable customer/member volumes.
*Experience operating within a regulated environment (financial services, insurance, healthcare or similar) is highly advantageous.
*Strong commercial and analytical capability, able to seize opportunities, assess viability and support negotiation strategy.
*Confident in proactive outbound engagement, including cold outreach, networking, events and industry forums.
*Exceptional relationship building and negotiation skills, with the presence and credibility to engage senior stakeholders (including C suite level).
*Experience navigating long cycle, partnership or commercial negotiations.
*Solution focused, consultative selling style; able to represent the organisation professionally.
*Comfortable working autonomously with regular UK travel.
