Newly created role in a London city based fintech focused banking group supporting a range of technology initiatives and product developments. The role will support the Head of the Transformation Executive.
This role has a focus on business and data analysis, and test coordination.
I. Business analysis – working with multiple stakeholders to define and document requirements, use cases, current and future process states and validating and translating these into detailed functional specification, and subsequently assisting with defining and delivering solutions, systems design, and data migration, often working with external vendors and consultants etc.
II. Data analysis –organising, analysing, transforming, and visualising data for various business stakeholders, including the design, and building of dashboards and/or data modelling tools.
III. Test coordination – assisting with the testing/validation process for software, including defect tracking, defect resolution, change/release management, and quality assurance.
2. Core Duties
Business Analysis
• Gather requirements from relevant stakeholders about needs and future growth in a format that is applicable to the audience e.g. Use Cases / Requirements Matrix etc.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure each project meets a specific need and resolves successfully
• Evaluate, test, and recommend new opportunities for enhancing our software, hardware, and processes
• Compile and distribute reports on application development and deployment
• Design and execute A/B testing procedures to extract data from test runs
• Evaluate and draw conclusions from data related to customer behaviour
• Participate in change control technical assessment and ensure that all changes to the network and systems are performed in accordance with laid down procedures
Data Analysis
• Using data mining to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns
• Organising and transforming information into comprehensible structures
• Performing analysis of the data and using tools and techniques to visualise data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs.
• Organise and participate in meetings/workshops with stakeholders to understand data content and requirements in order to build effective tools to improve processes.
• Assist with management of the integrity of data (control and oversight)
Test Coordination
• Create test cases to support project activities and IT releases and provide progress reports
Skills/Experience Sought
Prior banking experience (essential)
- Experience within the UK Payments landscape
- Knowledge of corporate, personal, and transaction banking
- Bachelor’s degree in software development, computer science/engineering, or similar
- 5+ years’ experience in technology analysis, development, and deployment
- Experience of working on transformation programmes
- Technical competency with MS Office suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint), Power BI, Visio, Atlassian product suite and some SQL query proficiency.
Hybrid working is operated with 3 days per week office based.
