Technical Assistant

We are seeking a Technical Assistant with experience in a Technical or Quality role to take on the total responsibility of our technical department. This role is ideal for a candidate who has experience with the admin side or being involved in passing a SALSA audit. The Technical Assistant will work independently, reporting directly to the directors, and will collaborate closely with staff to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Oversee the entire technical department, ensuring all processes and systems are efficient and up to date.
*Manage and conduct SALSA audits, ensuring compliance and maintaining high standards.
*Work independently while reporting directly to the directors.
*Collaborate with bakery staff to implement technical and quality standards.
*Monitor and evaluate system performance, making recommendations for improvements.
*Provide technical support and training to bakery staff to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven Technical or Quality experience, preferably within the food industry.
*Proven experience managing or being involved in SALSA audits.
*Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with all levels of staff.
*Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
*Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
