Key Responsibilities*Manage a varied caseload involving children, families, carers, and individuals, promoting independence and positive outcomes
*Undertake assessments to identify support needs, ensuring active participation from service users
*Provide clear, accurate information and collaborate with partner agencies to support families holistically
*Lead or participate in child protection investigations and assess risk levels with guidance from the Team Manager
*Monitor and review service delivery to ensure continuous improvement
*Provide professional advice and reflective supervision to less experienced team members
*Contribute to the development and supervision of fostering and adoption arrangements, helping to keep children within their families wherever possible
About the RoleReporting to the Team Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality social work services that promote child safety, family stability, and long-term well-being. This role is key to supporting children and young people while reducing the risk of family separation and ensuring effective care planning.
Person SpecificationEssential Qualifications & Experience:
*Relevant professional qualification in Social Work
*Registration with Social Work England
*At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in children’s services
*Knowledge of statutory legislation, safeguarding frameworks, and social care best practices
Skills & Attributes:
*Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
*Ability to work in multi-agency and inter-professional settings
