Room Leader - Baby Room
Location: City of London
Salary: £30,500 - £32,000
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (4.5 days)
Shift Pattern: 08:00 - 18:00, with one half day per week (08:00 - 13:00)
Qualification: Level 3 in Childcare or above
Platinum Recruitment is proud to be supporting a well-established nursery in the City of London in their search for an experienced and passionate Room Leader to lead their Baby Room team.
This nursery provides a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and develop through play. The Baby Room is carefully designed to support the early development of children under two years old, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and encouraged as they begin their learning journey.

Your Role
As the Baby Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading the room and ensuring the highest standards of care, learning, and development for the children in your care.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Leading and supporting the Baby Room team to maintain high standards of care and education
*Planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
*Ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for babies
*Monitoring children’s development and maintaining accurate observations and assessments
*Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues
*Supporting staff development and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the room
What We’re Looking For
*Level 3 qualification in Childcare or above
*Experience working within a Baby Room or early years setting
*Previous experience in a Room Leader or senior practitioner role is desirable
*A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
*Excellent communication and leadership skills
*A warm, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to early years education
