SEN Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs - GreenwichLocation: Greenwich (near Woolwich Arsenal Station)
Start Date: 13th April
Contract: Full-time | Summer Term with strong likelihood of extension
Pay: £95-£115 per day
Setting: Specialist provision within a mainstream primary school
The RoleA supportive primary school in the Woolwich area of Greenwich is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision supporting pupils with complex needs from 13th April.
The role involves working with pupils who have a combination of medical, physical and cognitive learning needs. Staff provide highly structured support to help pupils access a personalised curriculum that includes communication development, sensory learning and functional academic skills.
The class has eight pupils and benefits from excellent staffing support, with one teacher and six Teaching Assistants working closely together to provide consistent, attentive support throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities*Supporting pupils with complex medical, physical and cognitive needs
*Assisting with personal care where required
*Helping pupils access adapted learning activities and sensory-based tasks

The Ideal CandidateThe school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who:
*Has experience supporting pupils with complex SEN or additional needs
*Is calm, patient and attentive to pupil wellbeing
*Is comfortable working in a highly collaborative team environment
Experience in SEN settings, care roles, or supporting pupils with physical or medical needs would be highly beneficial.
