Overview
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our client’s team. This role offers a great opportunity for someone seeking long-term stability, with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period. You’ll split your time between delivering goods to customers and supporting day-to-day warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Deliveries
*Safely deliver products to customers across the region, following planned routes and delivery schedules.
*Ensure all goods are handled with care and delivered accurately and on time.
*Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients on delivery runs.
*Conduct basic vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Warehouse Duties
*Assist with loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring items are organised and secure.
*Pick, pack, and prepare orders ready for dispatch.
*Keep warehouse areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
*Support stock control processes, including counting, storing, and rotating inventory.
*Use warehouse equipment where trained (e.g., pallet trucks, scanners).
Skills & Experience
*Previous experience in a delivery, warehouse, or similar hands-on role is preferred but not essential.
*A valid UK driving licence with a good driving record.
*Comfortable with manual handling and physically active tasks.
*Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
*Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
