Are you an organised, commercially minded Buyer looking to take the next step in your procurement career? Our client, a growing and well established business based in Crawley, is seeking a proactive Buyer to join their team and play a key role in managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and materials.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage the procurement of goods, materials, and services in line with company requirements
*Build strong relationships with new and existing suppliers
*Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure best value
*Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate purchasing records
*Work closely with internal teams (operations, production, planning, etc.) to forecast demand
*Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, or performance
*Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement across the supply chain
Skills & Experience
*Previous experience in a Buyer, Purchasing Assistant, or similar
*Strong negotiation and communication skills
*Confident managing suppliers and working in a fast-paced environment
*Excellent organisational and analytical abilities
*Experience using ERP/MRP systems (advantageous)
*A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
