Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a specialist manufacturer to recruit a Production Supervisor to join their growing manufacturing operation in Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced supervisor to lead a skilled assembly team within a well-established engineering environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in supporting production targets, improving processes, and driving a positive team culture on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
*Supervise and coordinate daily production and assembly activities
*Lead, motivate, and support a team of production and assembly operatives
*Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met
*Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements where required
*Maintain a strong focus on health and safety across the production environment
*Support training and development of team members
*Liaise with engineering, planning, and management teams to ensure smooth operations
About You
*Previous experience in a Production Supervisor or Team Leader role within manufacturing
*Ideally will have a background in mechanical, hydraulic, modular, automation or electrical assembly environments
*Strong leadership and communication skills
*Ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and drive team performance
*A proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem solving
*Good understanding of health & safety in a manufacturing environment
