Job Description:
ELECTIVES COORDINATOR
A three-month temporary opportunity at a prestigious university. This role supports the coordination and administration of elective programmes, working closely with students, academic staff, and internal teams. Responsibilities include managing records, handling enquiries, and ensuring processes run smoothly and meet deadlines. Ideal candidates will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and experienced in administrative roles within higher education or similarly complex environments.
ELECTIVES COORDINATOR ROLE:
*Supporting elective module management by building module content on the virtual learning environment
*Setting up and maintaining reading lists for modules
*Liaising with module leaders and academic staff to coordinate module activities
*Responding to student emails and providing guidance on module-related queries
*Preparing coursework samples for external examiners
*Managing assessment marking by liaising with markers to ensure timely completion and releasing marks to students
*Entering marks and analysing average scores
*Undertaking ad-hoc administration related to elective modules
ELECTIVES COORDINATOR ESSENTIALS:
*Higher education experience is greatly preferred by the client
*Demonstrating strong attention to detail by producing accurate, high-quality work with a focus on consistency and precision
*Applying advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional formatting and data analysis tools
*Adapting quickly to new software systems and digital platforms with minimal supervision
*Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a clear and professional manner, both verbally and in writing
*Producing clear and concise written communications tailored to different audiences
*Working flexibly, including some weekend work and in the office three days per week
