*Working Hours: 8:45am till 5pm

As part of their commitment to being an environmentally friendly borough, Blackburn and Darwin Council are launching a new household waste collection service for food waste. To support our residents to use their new recycling bins, we are looking to recruit some additional staff for a short period where we expect to be busy.
What Your Day Will Look Like
In this role, "variety" is an understatement. Our teams provides the front-line face and voice of the council across multiple channels:
*Digital & Voice: Handling enquiries via telephone, email, social media, and live chat in our fast-paced contact centre.
*Face-to-Face: Providing high-quality support at our three reception centres across the borough.
*Expert Navigation: Helping residents with everything from Council Tax and Benefits to Registrars, Highways, and Environmental Services.
Don’t worry—you don’t need to be an expert on day one. We provide in-depth training and ongoing support to ensure you have the knowledge and confidence to excel.
Who You Are
We are looking for people who are naturally curious and genuinely empathetic. You’ll be a great fit if you:
