Preschool Manager

Reed, in partnership with a local nursery, is seeking a proactive, hands-on Preschool Manager with a strong knowledge of Ofsted guidelines and a genuine passion for early years education. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic leader who thrives in a fun, nurturing childcare environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Actively participate in daily activities, ensuring inclusion in staff ratios.
*Lead by example, maintaining high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding.
*Oversee the preparation and compliance for Ofsted inspections.
*Manage occupancy levels and staff ratios effectively.
*Act as a Key Worker for a group of children, ensuring their individual needs are met.
*Utilise an online childcare management platform to streamline operations and maintain records.
*Lead performance management processes including staff supervision, appraisals, and training.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum Level 3 Childcare Qualification (Level 4 or 5 desirable).
*At least 2 years’ management experience in an under-5s childcare setting.
*Strong working knowledge of Ofsted legislation and inspection processes.
*Proficient in safeguarding practices (minimum Level 3).
*Experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Early Years Grant funding applications.
*Demonstrated ability to lead a team during Ofsted inspections and ensure compliance.
*Experience using an online childcare management platform (e.g., Tapestry).
