Role: Security Operations Administrator
Location: Stroud (5 days onsite)
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000

Our client, a leading telecommunications and IT services provider, is hiring a Security Operations Administrator to join their growing technical team.
With over two decades of experience delivering telecoms, connectivity, cloud and IT solutions to businesses across the UK, the organisation provides secure and reliable technology services that help customers stay connected and protected.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in cyber security, gaining hands-on experience supporting security operations and protecting business systems. It’s an ideal role for someone with 1–2 years of IT or cyber exposure, a recent cyber security graduate, or someone looking to transition into security from IT support or infrastructure.
What you’ll do
*Support day-to-day security operations and monitoring activities
*Assist with security incident investigation and response
*Help maintain security tools, policies and documentation
*Support system monitoring and vulnerability management
*Work with internal teams to ensure secure configuration and best practice
You’ll work closely with IT support engineers, infrastructure teams and security specialists to help protect systems and ensure the organisation maintains strong cyber security standards.
What we’re looking for
*1–2 years’ experience in IT, networking, or cyber security
*A degree, postgraduate qualification or certification in cyber security (or related field)
*Understanding of cyber security principles, threats and vulnerabilities
*Familiarity with security monitoring tools or IT infrastructure
*Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
The ideal candidate will bring curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in cyber security, and enjoy working in a collaborative, technology-focused environment.
