Personal Tax Accountant
The Role
Barber McLelland are working with a leading independent firm of Accountants based in Doncaster who are looking to appoint a Personal Tax Accountant join the firms Tax Division.
Due to recent restructuring, this newly created position will report to the Partner, working across a diverse portfolio of clients, this includes High Net Worth Individuals, Entrepreneurial Business Owners, Partnerships and Directors.
The business would like to consider both existing tax professionals or accountants who have worked within an accountancy practice and looking to make a career change into tax.
Duties and Responsibilities
The role of the Personal Tax Accountant will be responsible for:
*Providing personal tax compliance services for a varied portfolio of clients processing of tax returns, ensuring returns are processed accurately and delivered to agreed service standards
*Management of client information, ensure businesses submit all appropriate information for the completion of tax returns
*Ensure that the client’s tax liability is correctly calculated and the client is advised accordingly
*Communicate directly with clients and HMRC regarding tax compliance matters on the phone and in person
*Ensuring compliance with current legislation and preparing working papers
Skills and Qualities
We are ideally looking for an individual who has a minimum of 3 years personal tax experience working within a firm of accountants. A formal tax or accountancy qualification is not a prerequisite. The successful individual will have a strong understanding of tax compliance or a practice accountant looking to make a transition into taxation.
Salary and Benefits
