School Executive Assistant
Salary:£28,031- £33,002 per annum pro rata
Full time: 35 hours per week
Fixed Term:6 months
This role may be eligible for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route. If requiring visa sponsorship, the successful applicant will also need to meet a range of individual criteria to satisfy Home Office requirements. If the role is offered on a part-time basis, this might also affect eligibility.

THE POST – School Executive Assistant
The postholder will provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to the School Leadership Team, including proactive diary management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and the preparation of documents, reports and presentations. Working closely with the Dean of School, this role involves handling sensitive and confidential information, organising School Leadership Team meetings and wider School events, taking minutes, tracking actions, and ensuring effective information management. The role also includes researching and collating data, supporting Heads of Division with activity planning information, and assisting with School-wide processes such as DPA/FOI coordination.
In addition, the postholder will support financial and budget-related activity across the School, including raising purchase orders, monitoring expenditure, and liaising with specialist colleagues to ensure compliance with University procedures. The role will also assist the School Project Team with financial queries and contribute to operational returns such as TRAC. Overall, this post provides a central, professional service ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the School’s leadership and administrative functions.
The successful candidate should have the following:
*Administration in a Higher Education environment
*Personal Assistant support
*Committee servicing, report writing, drafting briefings and presentations
*Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
*Highly developed communication skills including the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential issues.
*Excellent Interpersonal skills.
*Well-developed problem solving skills.
*Proactive, highly focussed with the ability to forward plan and organise work schedules with specific deadlines.
*Attention to detail and accuracy.
*Capable of working on own initiative.
*Ability to research, collate and format information/data
