Mechanical Design Engineer | Bournemouth | Up to £45,000

This Mechanical Design Engineer position offers long term development, exposure to complex engineering projects, and the opportunity to contribute to high-integrity products used worldwide.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will benefit from:
• Working within a specialist mechanical engineering team focused on innovative, compliant, and manufacturable designs

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting the design of new and existing products, producing detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models
• Contributing to engineering milestones and ensuring delivery to cost, quality and agreed timeframes
• Applying engineering processes and standards to maintain regulatory, manufacturing and airworthiness compliance
• Supporting production with technical investigation, problem solving and build issue resolution
• Contributing to lessons learned and continuous improvement activities
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your experience will include:
• Experience of manufacturing and design processes within an engineering environment
• Working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD systems, or a strong willingness to develop these skills
• Understanding of composite materials and associated manufacturing techniques
• Methodical problem solving skills and the ability to interpret technical information accurately
• Confident communication skills across different technical disciplines
• Experience with computer-aided design software or PLM systems
