Lead Category Strategy for a Major UK Beverage BusinessThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head of Category/ Senior Category Manager to take ownership of On Trade category strategy within a leading UK beverage organisation.
In this senior leadership role, you will shape category direction across the On Trade channel, working closely with commercial teams and major customers to deliver insight-led strategies that drive growth, innovation and commercial performance.
You will lead a high-performing team and play a key role influencing commercial strategy across the business.

The RoleAs Head of Category – On Trade, you will develop and deliver category strategies that support both customer growth and strong commercial outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
*Partnering with the Commercial Strategy team to develop compelling beverage category narratives for On Trade customers.
*Leading and developing a motivated category team, providing clear direction and driving performance.
*Developing category propositions to support innovation, strategic priorities and distribution growth.
*Translating category strategy into sub-channel frameworks and ’path to purchase’ toolkits for On Trade teams.
*Managing external contact strategies aligned with customer segmentation to unlock category opportunities.
*Working closely with Customer Marketing to ensure insights shape activation plans.
*Leading the prioritisation and delivery of category projects, including those driven by shopper and market insight.
About YouYou will bring strong FMCG category experience and a strategic, commercially focused mindset.
Ideal background:
*FMCG category experience, ideally within beverages
*Strong understanding of the On Trade / hospitality channel
*Experience leading and developing teams
*Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
*Experience working with category insight and shopper data
