Accounts Semi-Senior – Career Progression within a Growing Accountancy Practice

About the role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Accounts Semi-Senior to join a growing and supportive firm of Chartered Accountants based near Eastbourne.
This is an ideal role for a motivated Accounts Semi-Senior looking to build on existing practice experience and progress within a forward-thinking environment. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a varied client portfolio and develop strong technical skills across accounts preparation, tax and audit.
The Accounts Semi-Senior will play a key role within the team, supporting senior staff while also assisting with the development of junior colleagues.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Preparing statutory accounts in accordance with FRS 102 (1A)
*Working with a mixed portfolio including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
*Preparing management accounts
*Supporting on audits - training can be given if no previous experience in audit.
*Supporting and guiding junior team members to ensure high quality work
*Liaising with clients and maintaining strong professional relationships

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will be motivated, organised and eager to progress within an accountancy practice environment.
Requirements include:
*A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar Accounts Semi-Senior role within practice
*Currently studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (such as ACCA or ACA)
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
*The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
*A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to develop within practice
